Okay, so I know I am very late to this, but I think I'm beginning to get a little obsessed with White Collar. Stuff like this Matt Bomer/Tim DeKay live chat, and collarkink do not help. What is it with me and thieves? (Actually, my favorite character is Peter, not Neal. But, obviously, it's the combination that works.) So far I've watched all of season one and the first six episodes of season two (don't spoil me!). Is season two a lot better than season one, or is that just my standards slipping down the drain as I grow more and more fond of these guys? Seriously, I watched all of season one without even remembering what their names are, but now everything's suddenly clicking for me.  I think it's replacing Chuck in my affections, as I'm so disillusioned with post season two Chuck.

Also:  watched Inception last night and I couldn't take my eyes off Robert Fischer (the energy mogul's son whose dream they were messing around with).  I asked my husband, "Have we seen him in something else??" but he didn't think so.  (Usually I am completely hopeless at recognizing people, and he's very good at it.)  Later when I looked him up I found out it was Cillian Murphy, who plays Dillinger, Jr. (a really small role, but I am drawn to Dillingers!) in Tron Legacy.  He is SO BEAUTIFUL.

I know I hardly ever post anything but memes, but... I like memes! And I never post them on my non-anonymous blog, so this is my outlet. :-)

I got this from georgiesmith.  Pretty neat!  The only difficulties were that they didn't offer ANY appropriate pictures to represent "The Band" or "The Hawks," so I had to ctrl-click (to remove) those interests.  The most hilarious part was "Pete Gracen":  instead of 10 different images to pick from, there was only ONE choice of picture, so every time I clicked on it, it offered me Pete getting a drink in 10 different positions on the page.  Hahaha.  At least it had Pete, and doing a very Pete-ish thing, too.  Oh, and I hated all the pictures they offered of Richard Manuel, so I just chose the one with the whole Band in it, since The Band wasn't properly represented anyway (and at least Richard is the one who stands out in it).  Why doesn't anyone ever have young pictures of Richard?  Alas.  Oh yes, and the second to the last image is supposed to represent "Weird Food," but I couldn't resist choosing it!  Too perfect. :-)

babel asked people to share videos of the songs they've been obsessed with recently, and I posted mine in the comments, but I think I want to make my own actual entry, as well.  Because I might want to remember.  Anyone who wants to tell me yours, feel free to embed in my comments (or in your own journal, of course)!

I was just looking at my post from October 2008 about what TV shows I was currently in the process of watching.  Geez, so many shows I really liked have gone off the air since then!   Here's what I'm watching now:

I think I like Caprica so far.  I definitely like that as of the second episode (which aired tonight), there's a gay main character!  Also great is that his preference was mentioned in passing, and was treated as perfectly normal.  And it doesn't hurt that he's probably the sexiest guy on the show.

The other great thing about Caprica is the cars. Oh man, the retro cars.  Beautiful. Forget about the rest of the show, I could just stare at Graystone's car all night.

Also, there's the hats.

I hope it turns out to be a good series, because it's pretty sad having only one other currently-airing show (Chuck, yay!) that I like.

Wow, "Who Am I This Time?" was... weird and adorable.  I sort of didn't want it to end.

I love Netflix "Watch Instantly."
Instead of Chaplin, I watched The Dead Zone!  Christopher Walken + David Cronenberg = WOW.  I usually love Cronenberg movies (though I haven't seen one in a long time), and this was much less weird than his usual (not that it wasn't weird, just not Cronenberg-level weird) but it was riveting.  (The title makes it sound much "worse" than it actually is.)  I don't know why I'd never seen it and didn't even know about it, since I've tried to watch all old Cronenberg movies that aren't too over the top.  Walken was amazing.  LOVED HIM.  Adored him!  I kept thinking about that article I read about him years ago (I remember exactly where I read it... it was on our inflatable boat, on our pond), and how he yanks on his hair daily.  Every time I looked at his hair I thought about him pulling on it!  He was so beautiful in this, really pale and with amazing intense eyes and chapped lips, creepy but vulnerable.  And that voice, of course.  Wow, I am in love. :-)

Ha--found the article!  It was from The New York Times Magazine, May 30, 2004.
